Ahhhh......Monday, again. I am actually on the ball posting this week! First up I want to give a little shout out to a fabulous Etsy seller, Sweetly Fallen. She sells handmade accessories for weddings and such. Believe me, they are STUNNING!

I have yet to order something because I can never make up my mind. There are some absolutely gorgeous pieces, so you better go check em out here!

Next, I never really do before and afters, but my amazing friend Michelle

from Michelle Kane Photography is coming out with some amazing action sets.

Seriously......I am obsessed with them.

I edited one of my son because I really love bright vivid colors and I liked the graffiti wall because of all the color. I am showing you a SOOC(which is straight out of my camera).....took me a little while to learn that term lol. The bottom picture is the fully edited one with the actions.

I did a few small adjustments in ACR(Adobe camera raw) and brightened added some warmth and sharpened a bit. Nothing very drastic. Next I added Dull to Dazzling, Light+Shade+Color Jolt everywhere except his skin, then for a little more drama I added Posh and sharpened and I was done! I love love the actions!

This week has been sooo crazy so I feel like I haven't been able to give much thought to my Monday post because of all the other things I am trying finishing up. I did however find a cute business card holder so I don't have shove my cards in my camera bag anymore. I found it at another Etsy store(yes I may be addicted to Etsy). Anyway, it came really fast and I love it! I bought it at a store called Owl Say Designs.

Ok......so yes, I know it's technically not "Monday" but obviously I slacked a bit this week. I think because it is seriously too cold for this California girl. All I wanted to do was curl up in a ball. I NEED SUN!

First things first.........WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all that voted for us we are soo happy and we absolutely adore this picture from my dear friend Jen at Mesmerizing Moments. She pretty much rocks. Here is our winning shot

I found this recipes off a Facebook friends page. It looked so delish I couldn't help but re post. Hope they don't mind. Yummo! You can also find the recipe here.

I was going to do a FAQ'S post this week but it will be coming soon. Nothing super exciting, just random questions that people have asked me that may help others.

Lastly, I found these super cute (and very resonably priced) flowers for brides. Her Etsy shop is called Silver Pencils Go check them out! I think I will post cute little Esty finds for my brides to gather inspiration from.

ARG.....It's a little later than I like to post this but we have been out all day! This week has had several fun things happen one being that our family photo was chosen as one of Mesmerizing Moments Photography's favorite pics of the year. We are in the running for something fabulous so go VOTE for us please!!! We are number 11!!!!

The morning of K and B's wedding, I woke up and heard something weird beating on the window. RAIN?! IN AUGUST?!(Yes i am just now blogging this). I couldn't believe it. I started to freak out a little and then realized if it rains it's suppose to be good luck right? By the time I made it to the wedding, it was windy and chilly but at least it wasn't raining.
The details of this wedding were stunning. The red and black looked so classy and I actually wanted a bridesmaid dress. This couple is so sweet and sincere and their family was so welcoming, it made my job a breeze! Oh and the fact that a group of wedding guests performed the Thriller dance possibly made this one of my favorite weddings ever! Thank you so much for letting me capture you day and I truly feel honored to be your photographer.

Beach Wedding {Tracy/Bay Area/Carmel Wedding Photographer}

I rarely blog weddings.....and I wonder why. I love looking back at all the images and remembering each couples special day. It's going to be a new goal for me to try and showcase my wedding clients more!

This was my first beach wedding. I was only there for a bit of getting ready and the ceremony and a few portraits after the wedding was over. I am officially in LOVE with beach weddings. It was foggy and a little cold but the view was amazing. This couple was so laid back and the wedding was very small and intimate. Just close friends and family. It was a perfect day and I am honored they chose me as their photographer. Hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from that day.

I really need to get back in the habit of blogging! I have missed several posts and not to mention, my 52 week project updates!! I do keep things updated on my Fanpage, so if you aren't a fan yet you should be:) Sales and specials sometimes only happen on this page.

First off....It's snowing on my website. I think it's kinda cool. Go check it out!

One of my great photographer friends is selling a new background system that will make your life as a newborn/kid photographer sooo much easier. Her new product is called Flipits. Go check it out and you might even see a few familiar faces on her site.

Also this last week I was lucky enough to have the fabulous Michelle Kane feature a few of my photos that she tested her new actions on. These actions are some of my very favorites and I know you will all LOVE them. They are due out soon, but she does have some giveaways every now and then. Go check out her blog and a few samples of her actions using my pics!!!!! Seriously, you need them!

Last, but certainly not least, my friend Melissa is selling some super cute crafts on her Etsy site. I have a few of her awesome crafts and I have to say, they are incredibly well made and she is very speedy at getting things shipped. Go look around her shop and tell her I sent ya!

I have been a SERIOUS slacker on blogging lately. I have fun stuff to post but I was wanting everyone to get their pics in a timely manner so I had to put blogging on the back burner a bit. Here is a session from a while back....oh how I miss the sun and it's magic flare.
This family is so sweet! I took baby G's pictures over the summer and I have to say he was a little tough on me haha. He has the cutest face and I think he may still be deciding if he'll let me take his picture! The last fun little find is this awesome smoothie I made several times during the summer, but just remembered to post it. It is delicious and a cool drink to serve to guests. Don't let the ingredients fool you...is it divine!

Ok this post is a little overload compared to my usual. I had a hard time narrowing down pictures to post because I just love this family.
From the first time I met M I knew we were destined to be great friends. We met while shooting different weddings at the LDS Temple in Oakland. While we were waiting for our bride and grooms, we sat and chatted awhile and found we had a ton of things in common. I immediately went home and stalked her blog and LOVED her work. Soooo It's Monday! I am finally doing another Funday Monday post and now I have another reason to post more! My friend Aimee from White Daisy Photography and I have teamed up for a 52 week project. I have started this type of thing and never completed one. I am hoping with a friend we can complete it and have a great year of creative pictures.
The purpose of this kind of project is to get you out shooting and thinking a little more outside the box. We have 52 different items to shoot for the year and the picture must be taken within that week. Here is a look at out first week.

So, I have been wanting to do some sort of fun blog posts to get people excited about Mondays. I never really minded Mondays, they were just another day in my life......until Kindergarten started. Now Mondays come with a hurried breakfast, whining about being too tired to go to school and the endless task of finding shoes. It's kinda cramping my style haha. Maybe the blog idea was my sub-conscious mentally preparing me for Mondays.

Anyway, I have decided that I will feature cute, cool finds I come across(some photography related, others not) in hopes you might enjoy your Mondays a little more.

First up, the awesome girls over at Inspire Me Baby have been doing what to wear guides. I thought I would show a few for the next few weeks so when planning your family sessions you can get some inspiration.

What can I say about this amazing family? Well...everything. I have known them both since middle school and high school. R and I danced on the dance squad together in high school and S and my hubby played football.

I have so many fun memories of these two and it was so fun to see them again with their sweet family. R is the most patient and tender mama, and in return her girls have the sweetest hearts. She was my second newborn EVER! I was so nervous, and I remember Jen at Mesmerizing Moments was suppose to come into town and had to come a little later. Soooo she recommended me to E. Feathers {Danville/Alamo CA Wedding Photographer}

This wedding was everything classic. The bride and groom have an amazing love story of boy in a band meets girl and falls in love at first glance. What band you ask? Seventh Day Slumber, an amazing Christian rock band that tours all over the country.
I loved all of the little details of this wedding, and with the theme being "feathers", who wouldn't. I had so much fun at this wedding, and by the end I felt part of the family.

Saratoga Wedding {Bay Area Weding Photographer}

Here are just a few images from a beautiful wedding I shot last weekend. The venue was perfection. It was in Saratoga Springs in Saratoga CA. If you have never been there...go!!! It was absolutely the perfect place to get married.

The ceremony took place nestled up along a rock mountain in the forest with the sunlight streaming in. The reception was equally as beautiful as it was almost under an old stone bridge.

The day was amazing and so were the bride and groom. Congrats on your big day and thanks for letting me be a part of it.

I was seriously so excited to shoot this family. I heard they had twins and I have never had a chance to take pictures a set of twins. These two were sooo cute and FULL of energy. We started out our session on Saturday, despite the huge black cloud that loomed over us. We didn't succeed. I told them we could finish the shoot the next day because the weather was suppose to be about 70-75 degrees. It wasn't and it was super windy. We ended up getting some great shots and nobody blew away. Thanks again R family and I hope you enjoy your peek!

I met this sweet family at a really fun park in Walnut Creek. Their boys just melted my heart and made me almost believe I was ready for another baby....almost. The baby was the most happy baby ever. Littlest Heroes Project (Pleasanton/Newark CA Children's Photographer)

A while back I was feeling as though I wanted to do more, GIVE more. I found out about the Littlest Heroes Project. I just completed my first session and she was fun and full of personality. I truely admire her strength and courage. Here is her story in her mother's words:

Isabella was born on April 9, 2005. She was a full term pregnancy with no complications and was in perfect health. We felt so lucky and blessed to have this happy and healthy little baby girl in our lives. Isabella had no known health issues just occasional asthma, and only during the cold season. Then in October of 09 I got the call that every parent dreads. It was her preschool calling to tell me that Isabella had fainted at recess and that she was in with the director and I needed to come right away. I rushed out of work and got to her to find her lying in the director’s lap, alert but very quiet, and for Isabella that is VERY unusual. The ambulance was called and within minutes they were there checking all her vitals and hooking her up to the portable EKG machine. I remember the EMT telling me that she checked out fine, and it was up to me if I wanted to have her brought in. Well immediately I said take her in, and I thank God every day I made that decision. She was taken to Kaiser Fremont where they ran a full range of test on her. I thought for sure everything would be fine and we would be home by dinner, and then the news came that one of the test came back showing a large amount of pressure in the right side of her heart. With this news we were told that she would need to be transferred to Santa Clara Kaiser to been seen by the pediatric cardiologist. Once we were transferred over to Santa Clara and we met with the head of the pediatric cardiology department and more test were ran it was determined that the possible diagnosis was Pulmonary Hypertension, but to confirm the diagnosis we would have to be transferred to UCSF Children’s hospital for a Cardiac Catheterization to be preformed and for a PH specialist to take a look at Isabella as well. 7 days at UCSF and all the test ran we now knew why she fainted and our lives would be forever changed. Our precious baby girl had Idiopathic Pulmonary Hypertension, a life threatening disease with no cure. This disease makes it hard for the heart to pump blood through the lungs which increases the blood pressure within the lungs. In addition this causes the enlargement of the right side of the heart and can lead to heart failure. Isabella is now on medication to help lower the pressures in her lungs and heart and seems to be responding well to the current course of treatment. She will be on some form of medication for the rest of her life to manage the disease and it possible that a heart and lung transplant will be needed in the near future. Even though Isabella is only 5 she handles her disease and the fact that there are physical activities that she can no longer participate in, like a trooper. Her doctors and nurses love seeing her and she enjoys the attention she gets from all of them too. She handles the procedures, blood draws and doctors visits with complete ease. She has the perfect attitude and personality to handle this complicated and serious condition. She loves to tell all her friends about her “heart” and enjoys looking at any medical books or watching doctors and nurses on TV. When she was in UCSF she told us she wanted to be a doctor so she can fix “hearts” too. She brings so much joy to our family, and we are truly blessed to be her parents!

I have just started shooting my 2011 senior reps. D was a great girl to start it off with! She was so much fun and was willing to try anything. This girl is probably one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. During the shoot I found out why she was so awesome at it, she currently is a model. Hey All!
I am going to attempt a 52 week project. I know the usual is a 365 project but I think I might get too lazy on that:) For those who don't have a clue what I am even talking about, it is a project where you practice taking pictures once a week for a year, or if you are not lazy then once a day. It is suppose to help with your photography skills and you will also have some sweet pics to show at the end. So this picture is not out of the box for me at ALL but I still think he's cute. Hopefully you guys will push me a little by saying little things like "hey Lazy! Where is your weekly picture?" Thinks like that will keep me motivated. Hope ya enjoy my first installment. Oh yeah, and most people start at the beginning of January, but again you see that I am a touch lazy.

I did my first ever preschool picture day.Rachael at Breezy Days in Lakeport asked me if I would mind being their photographer. I thought it was a great idea and I am so glad I did it. The preschool is amazing and she is so patient and kind with all the kids. If only I lived closer Rach! It was so much fun and all of the kids were so great! I did some traditional backdrops and then also took them outside so the parents have a few things to choose from. Over all I think picture day was a success! Here is a little peek of a few pictures.

This family first off was super fun and their boys had THE most beautiful blue eyes! Mom had everyone dressed perfectly and such cute outfits! The boys were a little shy at first but by the end we were all laughing. I think R is a budding photographer. He followed me around with his mom's camera and copied what I did. We were really only about 20 minutes in, when we were walking to our next spot and noticed that their tire was almost flat and had a nail in it.
